Hi! I’m Philip Demsey — your go-to tutor for Math and Science, supporting high-school (and some middle- and college-level) students. I hold a Master of Engineering (MEng), an MBA, and I’m completing a Certificate in Adult Education. I’m also a CHRP with nearly 20 years of experience guiding students, including a teaching role at a local college.
I combine my experience and ongoing studies in education to develop innovative tutoring methods that make learning effective, confidence-building, and yes — even fun! My goal is to help each student succeed at their own pace, with clear explanations, practical strategies, and a supportive approach.

Please find below the details of my tutoring of Math and Science for high school, middle school and college students in person in Waterloo Region and online across Canada.
Availability:

Sunday to Thursday: 1:00–9:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Referral Bonus:

Session Options:

Tutoring in-person at the Waterloo library or online across Canada

Single session (50 minutes): $45 plus driving

Five-session package: $200, valid for 8 weeks

Group sessions for multiple students: $35 per student

About Me

I currently teach at Conestoga College while completing a Certificate in Adult Education, and I bring 15 years of experience advising students at the University of Waterloo. Alongside this, I hold advanced degrees in Engineering (MEng) and Business (MBA), which allow me to combine subject expertise with practical, effective teaching methods.
